1.Collaboration with Smart Solar Nepal Corporation Pvt. Ltd. – September, 2023
AICKU signed MOUs with Smart Solar Nepal Corporation Pvt. Ltd. to facilitate internships and job placements of undergraduate students of Kathmandu University.
2. Collaboration with Buddha Bhumi Hydropower Company Limited – April, 2024
AICKU facilitated agreement between Green Hydrogen Lab, KU, and Buddha Bhumi Hydropower Company Limited for study on wet to dry season Hydroelectricity Balancing using Green Hydrogen Technology.
3. Collaboration with Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School – May, 2024
AICKU facilitated Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School (SMD) Fellows to pursue Bachelor degrees at constituent programs of KU.
4. Collaboration with Hariharpurgadi Rural Municipality – August, 2024
An agreement was signed between Kathmandu University and Hariharpurgadi Rural Municipality for pre-feasibility study for a 200kT/year Green Urea production facility in Province 3. The Academia-Industry Cooperation at Kathmandu University facilitated the agreement.
5. Collaboration with Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Nepal – August, 2024
An MOU was signed between AICKU and Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Nepal (CNI) to foster a mutually beneficial relationship in diverse fields, which supports the mutual development of Nepal’s academic and industrial sectors. It establishes a collaboration between both parties to work jointly for Nepal’s academic and industrial development.
6. Collaboration with Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum – September, 2024
An MOU was signed between AICKU and Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) to foster a mutually beneficial relationship in diverse fields for Nepal’s academic and industrial development. This collaboration opens up internships, job placements, and startup support, along with workshops and seminars to fuel entrepreneurship and commercialization.
6. Collaboration with NMB Bank – September, 2024
An MOU signed between KU and NMB Bank to provide scholarships for students enrolled in undergraduate programs at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) and its affiliated colleges. This initiative, known as the NMB NextGen Banking Leaders Scholarship, was facilitated by AICKU. A total of seven full scholarships, awarded to students from each of Nepal’s seven provinces, will cover the entirety of tuition fees for the complete four-year program. The partnership aims to empower future bankers and CEOs from each province of Nepal, with a strong emphasis on supporting women and marginalized communities.
